The Leitz Winery is a family-run business whose history dates back to 1744. Johannes Leitz took over the estate in 1985 and expanded it to nearly 130 hectares, producing premium wines from the Rüdesheimer Berg vineyards. Leitz exports to 33 countries, including the USA and the UK.
In addition to alcoholic wines, the winery also produces a range of high-quality non-alcoholic wines called EINS-ZWEI-ZERO. The alcohol-free wines are produced using the patented vacuum distillation process, which preserves the wine's aromas while removing the alcohol. The Leitz winery has received numerous awards, including the prestigious Winemaker of the Year 2011 and the 5th Grape/Star from Gault Millau.
